Seven more Deptt handed over to Tripura ADC By Our CorrespondentAgartala, Jul 28, 2010 : To strengthen Tripura Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Tripura government will hand over the administration of seven more departments to ADC, said Tribal Welfare Minister Aghore Debbarma.
The state cabinet decided to transfer the administration of the establishments of seven departments including education up to senior basic level, social education programme, forest and social forestry, cultural affairs and cooperation in ADC areas.
Earlier, department of primary education, social education, agriculture, animal resource development and fisheries were with the ADC administration as per the provisions of the Sixth schedule of Indian constitution.
However, the average per capita allocation of developmental funds of Rs 250 for ADC would remain the same, Debbarma said adding that the state government had planned to initiate multi-pronged strategy for development of tribal areas.
